Bonnie
Keyner

Bonnie J. M. Keyner
Bonnie Keyner grew up on a farm in Appanoose County, Iowa and earned a BA
in English from Simpson College. After twenty years on active duty in the
US Army, she retired and started taking classes in a variety of topics.
She found the watercolor classes most intriguing. Time spent practicing
Chinese brush strokes on rice paper gives her work a special quality. Her
travels throughout the USA, Europe and the Far East yield a vast array of
ideas for future paintings. Keyner tries to capture the feeling of a
place and time in her paintings rather than the exact details that a
camera would record.
The paintings
represented on this site are transparent watercolor on paper. The image
size is approximately 14” x 21” and they are available for sale. More of
Keyner’s work can be seen at the Artist’s Undertaking Gallery, 309 Mill
Street, Occoquan, VA. Open 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. daily.
