John Fratta lives in Springfield, Virginia and paints out of his home on Hanover Avenue. He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.F.A. degree in Graphic Arts and retired after 30 years of government service as an Art Director for the Department of the Treasury. He has had a number of one-man shows and participated in many group shows in the greater Washington D.C. area.

At present, John is producing a series of "Tower " paintings which is based on variations of a recurring dream. He intends to title the series from A to Z, exploring a variety of media as he works toward completion.
