With an academic background in medical technology and a specialty in chemistry, there was little time for what Charlotte now finds a passion, painting. With no formal degree in art she is energized and encouraged by her instructors. The beauty of nature and love of the natural environment has provided an inspiration for her painting. She has been painting in her studio in Alexandria since 2004.
As a master gardener she has developed an eye for the patterns in nature and is fascinated by them which is reflected in her work. Her interest in the chemical elements and their reactions fits well with reactions of paint on paper. Natural designs uplift her spirits and the emotional appeal of peace and tranquility is evident in her interpretations Time spent in the studio is for her soul and perhaps it speaks to another along the way.
Works are currently shown at Kelly’s Art & Frame, Show of Hands, the Bin Gallery at the Art League Gallery, Alexandria, VA 22314, and www.metartshow.com
She started to exhibit her work 2007 in “Young at ART “and since has shown at Green Spring Gardens, Lorton Arts Foundation, City Hall, Art League, Del Ray Artisans, Gallery West, and Metamorphosis.
