Gloria Benedetto was a self taught artist until she retired from a career of teaching in 2008.  She began taking classes at the Lorton Arts Foundation Workhouse in January of 2009, and has continued her education through the Academy of Realist Art of Toronto, the Workhouse and other local schools.

       Her shows include the Fairfax County Government building, the Prince William Art Society, the Workhouse through the Workhouse Art Guild (WAG), The Plains Great Meadow Wine Festival, Green Spring Park juried show, monthly shows at Kelly’s Art and Frame of Alexandria, and a solo show at Kingstowne Library. She is a juried member of Workhouse Artists’ Association of Lorton.

     Gloria works in a variety of mediums, including photography. Her photographs have been selected in both the First and Second Annual Juried Photographic Competitions at the Workhouse, Lorton Arts Foundation.
