        John  was born in New York and earned his Fine Arts Degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.  John painted professionally in the ‘70s  and was represented by the Henri and Michelson Galleries of Washington, D.C.  As a Graphic Artist he held a position with the Department of the Treasury and retired in 1995 after 30 years of government service. Since retiring John has returned to painting and works out of his home in Springfield.  He’s comfortable with both abstract and representational styles of painting. His media preferences are oil and mixed media. His work is on display when and where opportunity permits
