Artist’s Statement

“I feel passionately alive when I’m actively creating my art.”     

      My ongoing artwork is constantly inspired and evolving along my path through life. Today’s voice is a blending of colorful paints and mediums into a flowing movement that continues until its appearance feels satisfying. Then I add whimsical layers of painting, paper, copper, wire, glass and/or photographic elements until they resonate with my inner intention. Expressing my unique artistic voice, often with a note of humor, feels like a joyous ride through introspection on life mixed with observations of people and places everywhere. “What makes life tick?” I ponder. I’m always influenced by the changing weather and sounds in my environment, too.

      If my art conveys to you a thoughtful and joyous exuberance, that’s the gift which is intentionally meant to be carried in its heart.
