Reginald Garrett is a recreational artist, who attended the Laguardia High School of Music and Art and the Fashion Institute of Technology, as an advertising design major. Both schools are in his hometown of New York City. Currently he works as a computer Graphic Designer in the Springfield area of Virginia.

 “I have been involved in the creation of art most of my life. I have done works in water color, acrylic, and oil. Currently my works have been in oil on canvas. My subject matter is governed by the spirit that moves me. I choose to paint the things that bring me joy and humor. So much of our world is bombarded by negative images in the news. I would hope that when people view my work they might escape for a moment to a more pleasant place or time.”

 Reginald is an active member of the Northern Virginia Art League. He shows his work locally through juried shows and market settings. In 2007 his work was displayed at the Washington area Artomatic show and sale. He continues his study as a painter in classes around the country and at home at the Art League School.
