I have loved art since I was old enough to hold a
pencil and art was always my favorite subject in school. I graduated from
Eastern Michigan University with a minor in art. After college, I
volunteered to teach oil painting to senior citizens in the community
where I grew up. Seeing people discover their hidden talents and knowing I
helped bring art into their lives was a wonderful experience. I am very
proud that the art program I helped create in the mid-1970s continues
today. In 1978, I became a special agent with the FBI which did not leave
me time for oil painting. I kept my hand in art by drawing for personal
enjoyment and doing composite drawings. After being away from painting
for 25-years, I rediscovered the joy of painting when I retired in 2004.
Since retiring, I have taken classes from a number of very talented local
artists. I am truly enjoying my journey of learning to paint again.
Joining the art guild has allowed me to meet and become friends with many
wonderful artists.
I am intrigued with how the internet has become such
a powerful tool for artists providing the opportunity to not only display
our work, but allowing me to enjoy the work of talented artists all over
the world. I hope you enjoy my paintings.
