Paul Jenkins is a retired US
Army Master Sergeant, currently working on Fort Belvoir as a contractor.
A native Floridian, his work is
heavily influence by a group of artists called the, "Highwaymen"
that emerged in the 1950s working in the Orange Groves of Central
Florida. These men, painted along the Indian River on the East coast of
Florida, often paintingon discarded wood with house paints. Today, their
works are highly prized as snapshots of a bygone era.
Many of Paul's works are along
the Indian River of Florida where the Highwaymen worked. He also
enjoys painting other themes, primarily dealing with water or the beach.
Most recently, he has been
working along the Potomac River in the style of the "Highwaymen."
