Hi, my name is Kaori and I have been a resident of Fairfax County, VA since December 2003.  I am originally from the country of Japan where I grew up in the Tokyo area and attended a women’s fine arts middle school through college.  While attending the fine arts college I worked in many mediums to include pottery, wood working, and metal working.  I decided to concentrate in metal working during my second year of college where I used such materials as brass and tin.  While being a student, my art was exhibited at various events held at the school.  However, now my preferred area of fine art is painting with my favorites being watercolor and acrylic with a wide variety of subjects.

In addition to the fine arts college in Japan I studied at a college in the United States in the state of Indiana.  At this college I studied interior design to include computer graphics and drafting.  While a student in Indiana I had the opportunity to travel around the United States to experience this great country.  My travels covered the east coast to the west coast and several locations in between. 

After meeting my husband in Tokyo, married, now with two children we came back to the United States permanently in 1999.  We have lived in several states from 1999 to 2003 before settling in Northern Virginia.  If interested in my artwork, please email at kaoripont@hotmail.com.
