Having always had an interest in art, Rudy started drawing and painting when he was six years old.  He continued to be involved in art throughout his life but seriously turned to painting seven  years ago. Mostly self taught, he prefers painting in oils and enjoys painting landscapes, seascapes, city/townscapes and people.  He has a particular interest in painting cityscapes and town scenes.  He finds the city atmosphere of the streets and interactions of people, cars and buildings a fascinating accomplishment of modern society. He also enjoys painting seascapes and water.

Rudy is currently on active duty in the U.S. Navy and works in Washington, D.C.   He has lived in Japan and Europe and has traveled in more than 20 different countries. His art reflects many of the places he has lived and visited. He paints out of his home in Springfield, Virginia where he lives with his wife and teenage son and daughter.
