My interest in watercolor began in 1980 and I began studying with Margaret Huddy and Ralph Smith. After moving to Northern Virgina in 1982, I continued my studies with Carolyn Gawarecki and David Daniels as well as workshops with Tom Lynch and other nationally-known artists.

Branching out into abstract mixed media began in 2000 with studies under Marsha Staiger and Joyce McCarten.

I enjoy both mediums and am constantly studying and learning as I experiment with new techniques.

I am a member of the Vienna Arts Society and the Springfield Art Guild and exhibit my work regularly with these groups.

I have participated in many more non-juried shows throughout the area.

I live in Alexandria, VA and enjoy painting local scenes as well as scenes from the many places I have traveled in the United States, the Caribbean and Europe. I am also enjoying my more recent pursuit of putting my impressions and feelings in the abstract art form.
