Janet Hale is a resident
of Fairfax County, Virginia. Art has been a part of Janet's life from the
very start that was made stronger by creative parents and extended family
members. Since the family was constantly traveling throughout Europe and
the tropics, Janet has many deep visual influences. At age 12 she was
inspired by the "Book of Kells" in Ireland, so she started drawing black
pen and ink designs. She also enjoys adding subtle humor with her
whimsical pieces in watercolor and pen and ink. Janet has illustrated two
books for Health Care Practitioners, several cookbooks and newsletters.
She has shown her work at Fairfax County’s Kingstowne Public Library, the
Franconia and Fairfax County Government Centers, and was juried into the
Green Spring Gardens Art Show.
