I have retired as Art Director at Newsday on Long Island in '92 and began painting in 1993. Since then I've enjoyed painting watercolors with enthusiasm.
I've studied with Tony Van Hasselt, Frank
Webb, Jeanne Dobie, Nita Engle and Barbara Nechis.
I am an associate member of AWS. I have had
one of my paintings accepted in the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society
Exhibition 2003 and paintings accepted in the National Art League,
Douglaston, where I was a member. I have a silver medal from this group.
I've exhibited at the Islip Art Museum, Long Island and at the
Brookhaven North Shore Art League of Long Island where I received 1st
prize (2001). I am an associate member of the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe
Art Club and a member of the Salmagundi Club, both in NYC. I became
president of the Aquarelle Club, The Watercolor Society of Long Island
(2002) before moving to Virginia this past winter.
I have contributed to the Caumsett
Foundation until 2002 to benefit the Caumsett State Historical Park on
Long Island.
